Install (Sew-In) Information
1. Make sure the hair you purchase (if not from your stylist) is the hair you want, there are alot of names out here and brands.
2. It would be best to shampoo and condition the "bundle (s)" of hair before installing.
3. Your hair and scalp should be thoughly shampooed and conditioned to avoid any old residue under your new install.
4. Trim your hair before creating base or installing.
5. Your hair should not be freshly relaxed or permed before an install. The braiding (if braiding is the method you choose) adds enough tension to the hair and scalp and a chemical would stress the hair more and may cause breakage.
6. After installation, shampoo every two weeks to avoid build up of residue. If not shampooed every two weeks, once a month and cleanse with a cleanser in between shampoos.
7. After shampooing, please make sure you dry your base properly. It may take a while. Not doing so may cause a fungus and a pungent odor, and may lead to something worse.
8. Depending on how it is installed, your install should not be in longer than 2 1/2 months 3 is pushing it.
9. Enjoy your hair and treat it as your own and it will last for a long while.
